Clubhouse Summer Camp...friendship rocks!!
15 KIDS + 2 TWO-WEEK SESSIONS = 1 AMAZING SUMMER!
The Clubhouse Summer Camp gives campers a space to strengthen their friendship, social, and communication skills!
Open to students 5-10 years old with a diagnosis of ASD, campers engage in fun, leisure activities with peers in a cooperative and supportive atmosphere!
Sample Camp Day
Greet Peers & Review the Daily Schedule
Activity 1: "Down the Line" - Work cooperatively & pass a water balloon down the line before tossing it.
Activity 2: "Ice Cream in a Bag" - Work in a small group and make ice cream in a Ziploc bag.
Snack time: Students have a snack, try the ice cream & engage in a conversation.
Activity 3: "Tent Structures" - Work with a partner and create a tent out of tightly rolled up newspapers.
Activity 4: Pretend to go on a camping trip with your friends and incorporate the self-made tents.
Review of Daily Activities: Students vote on their favorite game or activity.
Closing Ritual & Prizes

What is the age requirement for camp?
5 to 10 years old.
Who is the Clubhouse Camp staff?
The camp will be run by BIA staff with a high level of experience in group settings and volunteers.
How big is the group?
The group size will be limited to 15 campers (including siblings/friends).
What is the staff to camper ratio?
Staff to camper ratio will be a MINIMUM of 3:1. Campers will be split into small groups throughout the day.
Can I sign-up my child for one week instead of two weeks?
No, we will be running 2 two-week sessions summer camp sessions. Exceptions can be made for siblings and/or neuro-typical peers.
Can I sign-up my child for both sessions (total of 4 weeks)?
It will depend on openings but you can apply for 4 weeks.
Will the regular, weekly Clubhouse program take place during the summer?
No, the summer camp will take place in lieu of our regular, weekly program in the summer. The weekly program will resume in the fall.
Are you vendorized with the Regional Center of the East Bay (RCEB)?
Yes! We are listed under the vendor name, Friendship Rocks, with the vendor code #HB0975. Please contact your case manager to see if you're eligible for funding.
When is payment due?
Payment is due PRIOR to session start date.
How do I make a payment and what forms of payment are accepted?
- We accept cash, check, money orders, and credit cards.
- You may mail us a check/money order to our office: 2354 Powell Street, Suite A, Emeryville, CA 94608.
- Credit card payments are accepted by calling our office at 510-652-7445 ext. 10.
Will I get a refund when my child is absent?
Absences are not reimbursed since program costs are fixed.
Can siblings/friends attend the camp too? Is there an age requirement? Is there a cost for them to attend?
- Yes, up to 4 spots will be reserved for siblings/friends and they should be able to function as role models for other campers.
- Age requirement is 5 to 10 years old.
- Siblings/friends are tuition-free.
Will lunch or snack be provided?
- Lunch is not provided. Campers will need to bring their own lunch.
- Snacks are provided. However, campers on a restricted diet will need to bring their own snack.
Do campers have to be potty trained to attend camp?
