Embracing Play

This DVD teaches parents of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) how to engage their child through play and help kids relate to others. Parents learn how to foster play and shared experiences through “Object Focused Play.” Demonstrations of one on - one play sessions between a child and adult show how to create the structure necessary to capture a child’s attention, keep it, and how to gauge success.

“This video provides and excellent combination of theory, empirical evidence, and practical examples to facilitate parent-child interaction through play”
Journal of Autism & Developmental Disorders, Volume 31, #4, 2001.
