Do you wonder if your child’s classroom placement is adequately meeting his/her needs?
Is your child having behavior difficulties at home or in the community that you haven’t been able to solve?
Does your child have difficulty using his/her free time appropriately?
If so, BIA may be able to provide a brief period of consulting in order to assist you with these issues or other concerns. BIA provides assessment and consultation services in school and home settings. Services are individualized based on the reason of the request. Some of the specific requests include:
- Consultation for children in classroom settings (both preschool and elementary) to assist staff in identifying and implementing effective strategies to address a child’s communication skills; play skills; transition skills; levels peer interaction.
- Educational assessments: Functional Analysis for problematic behaviors, Intervention Plans, Preschool Assessment, Transition Plans.
- Development, support and implementation of Positive Behavioral Support Plans.
- Hands-On training of classroom teachers and support staff.
- Classroom Environment Design.
- Evaluations of current 1:1 instructional programs.
- Attendance at IEP meetings to discuss assessment information
